    • Juventus manager, Maurizio Sarri has disclosed that forward, Cristiano Ronaldo will not feature in his side’s Serie A clash against Atalanta on Saturday at the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia Stadium due to injury.

Sarri said the Portuguese captain will be left out to recover in a bid to play against Atletico Madrid in UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Sarri’s men head to the game following a 1-0 win over AC Milan in their last Serie A encounter.

DAILY POST recalls that Ronaldo was withdrawn after just 55 minutes against AC Milan in Serie A, while he was also taken off against Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League a few days earlier due to minor injury.

“There was no need for clarification with Cristiano [about his reaction at being subbed off against Milan],” Sarri was quoted by Gianlucadimarzio as saying at a pre-match press conference on Friday.

“Players have been reacting like that when the get subbed of since the ’90. At certain times, the players must be left to recover and cool down.

“The problem is that on Tuesday he told us that in the first game with Portugal he felt better but then in the second one he felt some minor problems.

“The goal is to have him back for the Champions League game against Atletico Madrid. 99% he won’t be available for the Atalanta game.”
